Holiness of an Inconstant Son

When you ask for deliverance from a particular issue or for God to move mightily on your behalf do you understand that the process may take on a route that is completely different than the one you expected? The chosen wanted to be freed from bondage however they wanted it on their terms. Does God have a say in the way He delivers you from your predicament? Is He entitled to our respect and understanding that maybe Father knows best? When the Chosen had survived the plagues of Egypt, the crossing of the Sea of Reeds and the blessing of the Law that was given to them by Moshe, they did what every normal child would do...they complained, wanted more and wanted it...RIGHT NOW!

The Lord led them to a place called Kadesh Barnea, where springs were sufficient to supply two million on their journey. Moshe called out for spies to go and travel throughout the land that the Lord had prepared for them. When the spies returned only two gave indication that Israel would indeed conquer the land and call it their own.

Because of their lack of faith they were led to spend the next thirty eight years wandering the wilderness while the faithless generation perished in frustration.

When the Lord seems to be taking his time or sets expectations beyond what seems possible, do you respond with hope or doubt? Do you rebel and demand instant gratification or do you accept the manner and path that He laid out?

The visions that I have received for my life are so big as to be impossible without the intervention of the Lord. Those locks can't be opened by the turn of any keys that I posess. I am at Kadesh Barnea and I have spied out the land. It is good, it is just as He promised. I will work diligently to stay focused on the promise and not the cost.

I will not doubt His faithfulness.

I will praise His belief in the holiness of an inconstant son.

Trust in the Lord and do good, dwell in the land and feed on His faithfulness, and you will be fed.
