Never have to say goodbye

Last Tuesday I received the phone call that we all dread, my friend on the line said it simply...Michael, Ritchie died last night.
Stunned, I told her I didn't know if I should scream Halleluia or Hell No! Ritchie was the 1988 campaign chairman for Pat Robertson in Texas. He was the reason that Pat won over 40% of the vote to stun the Bush camp in their home state. He was the reason why Texas went from Democrat to Republican. He energized the base of Christian conservatives that had been long dormant and became a potent force in Texas and then national politics. He cleared the way for George Bush the Governor, who is now...This wouldn't have happened if it weren't for Texas, Pat Robertson and Ritchie Martin. Ritchie went on to create Mayberry, the first internet filtered service protecting families and children. He was a dreamer, a man of action and a non-stop creative machine. I wept for days, met men of God that I had only before heard of at the funeral and now one week after hearing the news I have come to the realization that I was right and wrong. Was I prepared for him to leave, hell no! Am I thankful that he is with the Lord? Halleliua. I also realize that the next time we meet,

We'll never have to say goodbye.
